The Future
The last few years have seen OBRFC go from strength to strength and this is something we really want to build on over the next few years. In 2008 we added 2 extra fixtures to our calendar – the Solstice Sevens and a Pre-Season game against the school.
In 2009 we would like to add another Sevens tournament to the list and also explore the possibility of an overseas tour. There are lots of options here and anyone’s opinion on where to go, what to do etc would be greatly appreciated. Once the chat section of the website is up and running then we can use that as a place to have this discussion.
We are working hard to build our links with the school. We have regular meetings with the OB committee and frequent contact with the school through our tournaments etc. This link to the school is something that is vital to our survival. We need to build good links with Year 12 and 13 so that when they leave school they automatically know about the rugby club and come and play. With this in mind any current school members are welcome to come to Wednesday training and bring their parents if they want to get involved as well.
The OB rugby club is supposed to be and wants to be an all inclusive club that anyone can be involved with and feel welcome in. We feel that this is an atmosphere that we are developing well but we really want it to continue. The OB committee would like to say a huge thank you to the people that have already shown us a lot of support – the school, the OB committee, our kit suppliers, players, supporters etc. Let’s hope this support continues and we look forward to seeing you on Wednesdays and at the events that we organise.

Berkhamsted Old Boys Rugby Football Club is a club set up for past alumni of Berkhamsted Boys and Collegiate School.
It is a friendly and social club for all abilities and provides a catalyst for leavers of Berkhamsted Schools to meet and play rugby with a range of different age groups.
